Brett Landscaping Sponsors Kitchen Inspired Show Garden

Brett Landscaping has partnered with garden designer Stephen Dennis to deliver a stunning market kitchen-inspired show garden for The Malvern Autumn Show 2010. The garden will be installed by Brett Approved Installer Fulford & Mole Ltd of Brewood, Staffordshire.

The show garden, entitled ‘Cucina’, featured three main areas; a central butcher style block served as the main preparation area; vegetables, herbs and edible plants at hand all around; while the striking right angled raised beds constructed out of attractive reconstituted stone at each corner of the garden provided interesting boundaries.

Using the modern market kitchen as inspiration, ‘Cucina’ suggests a practical extension to the home, having all the kitchen amenities but with the aromas and textures found growing all around.

Brett Landscaping has provided Olde English Brick in Basket Weave, which mirrors a rustic brick floored kitchen - classical and bright as the cooking ingredients. The Travertine Setts accentuate the ambience and the Westminster stone walling and copings emulate the freshest storage cupboards and planters topped off with Natural Rounded gravel to finish off the garden. The garden has a real Mediterranean feel from the paving foundations up.

Talking about the garden, Richard Mole of Fulford & Mole Ltd said; “It’s going to be very good. There are some nice contrasts in the materials used for the hard landscaping. The warm burnt oak of the Olde English Brick contrasts nicely with the raised beds.”

The partnership of Brett Landscaping, Stephen Dennis and Fulford and Mole has enjoyed success at previous major events, having previously won an award at the RHS Show Tatton Park. “The partnership shows what can be achieved in garden and hard landscaping design,” explained Jon Mathias, Development Manager for the Brett Approved Installer scheme. “The options are limitless when using great, innovative designers and fantastic materials installed by skilled installers. ‘Cucina’ is a real concept garden which works on many levels. It’s going to be a real experience to be in the finished garden.”

The Malvern Autumn Show 2010 took place 25th – 26th September at the Three Counties Showground, Great Malvern.
