Gold Stamp of Approval for Brett Landscaping

Brett Landscaping is celebrating today following Large Gold medal success at the 130th Sandringham Flower Show held on the 27th July 2011 and attended by HRH Prince Charles accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall. The company supplied materials for the stunning ‘Ripples Echo To The Shore’ showcase garden which featured in the Royal Marquee at the annual show in Norfolk.

The garden was designed and built by Oakham based John Shone of Rutland Willows with the help of his family in order to help raise awareness for children born with Rett syndrome, a severe neurological disorder which is potentially curable and which John’s own granddaughter is a sufferer.

After the show, the garden will be transported to one of the Rett UK centres to provide a permanent benefit for sufferers and their families. Brett Landscaping donated their popular Travertine paving and selected decorative aggregates through their ‘Love Your Landscape’ community initiative. The paving was used to create a curved path through the garden leading to a circular island patio with a seat for sufferers to enjoy the garden whilst the decorative aggregates provided an additional range of textures and sounds which with the decorative water features and planting works to stimulate the senses.

Talking about the success, Andrew Gill, Love Your Landscape Project Manager at Brett Landscaping said: “We couldn’t be more pleased to have supported this wonderful garden at Sandringham Flower Show. Not only is the garden a great example of what can be achieved when great design and products come together, but it will really benefit those visiting the Rett UK centre for many years to come.

Sandringham Flower Show is one of the most prestigious horticultural events in the East of England. The one day show, now in its 130th year, attracts over 20,000 visitors.
